is Tetherball
Tetherball is a fun and creative
game that provides a great workout for expert players and
beginners alike. The two players are confined to half of the
area surrounding the pole and try to hit the ball repeatedly
in one direction so that the rope wraps completely around
the pole.
Tetherball is considered a "playground
activity," not an official sport, and therefore is not
governed by official rules for play. On the tetherball rules
page we provide you with the most common rules and some other
ideas which might increase your enjoyment of the game.
The length of the tetherball pole can vary
anywhere between 9'
to 10'.
The tetherball
should be suspended from the top of the pole so that it hangs
between 3' and 4' from the ground, depending upon the height
of players. On the tetherball equipment page we have a nice

that can be used for at home play.
